Hello! When I start my computer a black screen pops up with a white line in the left corner, I have watched multiple YouTube videos, read posts but no one has the same problem as me, the white line does not blink which every else seems to do, nothing seems to be working.

(When I press anything nothing happens) Is it a problem with an update? I had gotten a few notifications about an update which I never had time to update could this have been the source of the problem? This computer is just a little over a year old. Can someone help please help me with this. me.

    Hello

    I have two questions:

I would like to know if this happens often or occasionally?

Is the computer stuck on a black screen and can't get into the system or can it get into the system after a black screen?

To troubleshooting this issue, we recommend you can try the following methods:

    1. Reboot your computer.
    2. Update your graphics driver. A graphics driver is a software that controls how your computer displays images on the screen. If it’s outdated or corrupted, it can cause problems like black screen or horizontal lines. To update your graphics driver, you need to go to Safe Mode first. About how to go to Safe Mode, please refer to this link: Start your PC in safe mode in Windows - Microsoft Support. Once you’re in Safe Mode, you can update your graphics driver in Device Manager.
    3. Adjust your display settings. Sometimes, the black screen or horizontal lines can be caused by an incompatible screen resolution or refresh rate. To check and change your display settings, follow these steps:
      • Right-click on an empty area of your desktop and select Display settings
      • Under Scale and layout, make sure the resolution is set to the recommended value
      • Under Advanced display settings, click on Display adapter properties for Display
      • Click on the Monitor tab and make sure the refresh rate is set to the recommended value
      • Click OK and see if the problem is fixed

Regarding your question about updates, it is possible that an update could have caused the issue, but it's difficult to say without more information. We certainly do recommend that you install the latest update in a timely manner to ensure that your system is running stably.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian

Hi Hania Lian! Thank you for taking the time to respond. I tried what you suggested but to no avail. The problem still stands. As I said earlier nothing happens when pressing any button or pressing down on the power button except for turning the computer off. As for your questions, this has not happened before and the black screen is there as soon as I start the computer and i can't get into any kind of system.

For a few months back the computer screen froze and I could do nothing else but turn it off, it usually happens when I make a sudden movement or just randomly. Is there anything I can do or should i turn it in for professionls to fix?

    Best regards,

Based on the information you have provided, it seems like there may be a hardware issue with your computer. I would recommend taking your computer to professional maintenance staff to diagnose and fix the issue. They will be able to run diagnostic tests and determine the root cause of the problem. If the issue is related to a hardware component, they will be able to replace or repair it.

    Best Regards,

I had the exactly this same problem. I got it fixed.

When you turn on your pc ceep smashing the del button. Nothing will happen at first, but wait some what of 5 min. Than the pc will go into bios. Wait a bit in bios than exit the bios.

It was probably a Windows fault. After I exit bios windows started to update.

(if you exit you pc wil turn completely of then boost back to life.)
