Hi Harley Cutts,
your issue seems be caused by the encryption key or the TPM chip. Here are some steps you can try:
- Check if your TPM chip is enabled in the BIOS settings. If it's not enabled, enable it and restart your PC.
- Try to suspend BitLocker temporarily and then resume it. To do this, open an elevated command prompt and type "manage-bde -protectors -disable C:" (without quotes) and press Enter. Then, type "manage-bde -protectors -enable C:" (without quotes) and press Enter. Restart your PC and see if the issue is resolved.
- If the above steps don't work, you may need to use your recovery key to unlock your PC and then reset BitLocker. To do this, follow these steps: a. Restart your PC and enter your recovery key when prompted. If you forget your recovery key, please refer to Finding your BitLocker recovery key in Windows - Microsoft Support to find it out. b. Open an elevated command prompt and type "manage-bde -off C:" (without quotes) and press Enter. c. Restart your PC and enter your recovery key when prompted. d. Open an elevated command prompt and type "manage-bde -on C:" (without quotes) and press Enter. e. Restart your PC and see if the issue is resolved.
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Lei
