In Windows 11 (especially since the 22H2 and 24H2 updates), Notepad has been updated and its settings are now stored differently compared to previous versions. The registry key you're referencing (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Notepad) is no longer in use for resetting Notepad settings in modern Windows versions.
