Hello! Maybe can you try changing power plan? Go to Start (Windows Icon) > Search "Edit Power Plan" > Change advanced power settings > Battery > Critical Battery Level > Set the value higher depending on your preference (10%-20%).

Then after you change the critical battery level then you should do the following: Collapse the Battery section > Click on Sleep > Sleep after > Change On Battery to "Never" > Change Plugged in to "Never" > OK.

Let me know if the issue is fixed or not and if it's still continue it is most likely that the hardware is not working correctly or something's wrong with the system configuration, let me know a bit further so that I can help you troubleshoot this problem.

May I ask what is the battery percentage when the system entering sleep mode / shut down?
And also you should run "sfc /scannow" in the command prompt (run as administrator) as it checks system files if any of them are corrupted, then after run the command you should restart your laptop and if it's still not fixed then try the following steps:

    • Open Command prompt (administrator privilege) by go to Start button then search and right click on "cmd" then click on Run as administrator.
    • After that copy and paste these commands:
      • DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /CHECKHEALTH then press ENTER on your keyboard.
      • DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /SCANHEALTH then press ENTER on your keyboard.
    • Then run the command " sfc /scannow " .
    • These steps cleanup any corrupted files from the computer.
    • After cleaning up corrupted files you should run this command also: powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
    • After all of these you restart your computer.

Apologize for making this one mistake of changing the critical battery level higher.

The critical battery level should be lower not higher as it can shutdown your computer when your battery percentage reach down to the amount that you have set.

Again I am sorry and please feel free to give more feedback.

I've done all of those and they all came back with no corrupted files. I think i know why its shutting down and it has something to do with my battery because on the power plan is says when there is critical battery action to hibernate my computer which is what keeps happening and they is what it says on the event viewer

    thank you
