Fully Remove Internet Explorer 11 from Windows Server 2022

We have a large number of Application Vulnerability CVE alerts being reported by our application scanning tool Sentinel One for Internet Explorer 11 installed on Windows Server 2022.

Having uninstalled IE11 using Windows Start -> Settings -> Apps & Features -> Optional Features, clicking on IE11 then clicking the uninstall option and then performing a reboot. IE11 no longer appears as a feature or in the start menu.

Sentinel One is still reporting the application vulnerabilities - for which i have raised a support case with them. They are saying they also scan the Windows registry looking for IE keys and values. Having looked at the registry I can still see many IE keys and values that remain even after uninstalling.

Is there a recognised way to completely uninstall IE11 and remove all IE registry keys?

    Hi Lei -

Thank you for your response ...

I followed the steps in the article you mention even before your response - uninstalling IE11 from Windows Server 2022 following the Windows Start -> Settings -> Apps & Features -> Optional Features method DOES NOT remove the registry entries.

Is there a method to cleanup the registry after IE11 has been removed.
