In the latest version of the Edge browser,  the keydown event does not occur intermittently when entering Korean.

The same bug occurred in the latest Chrome browser.

The content below is taken from that link.

Affected Chrome Version(s): Multiple: 124.0.6367.61, 125.0.6422.77, 125.0.6422.77
Affected Operating Systems: Windows, Multiple: 10.0.22631, 10.0.19045, 10.0.22631

Issue Description + Insights/Patterns: We have a number of enterprise escalations and a number of user feedback reports sharing input issues related to typing in Korean. This seems to happen consistently when either:

  1. Receiving a Chrome notification (ex. from gmail), then re-focusing on the text area of a Chrome Window.
  2. or moving the Chrome Window to a different monitor, then trying to type in a text area

To assist with debugging, here are select reports in their original form:

And from customer case #50939257:

"Multiple customers reported when 1) receive gmail notification(right bottom),or 2) move tab to ext monitor/laptop(vice versa) reproduces the typing issue on 1) gmail and other [Google websites] and 2) 3rd party (mail.naver.com) apps.
In most of those cases, Korean typing is reactivated when they click the windows key(on the keyboard)."

"They have also mentioned that the issue still occurs when moving the browser window to another monitor."

Thanks!

    Hello,

To troubleshoot the issue, please try the following steps:

    1. Attempt typing in Korean across various text fields on different websites to ascertain that the problem is not site-specific.
    2. Temporarily turn off all browser extensions to rule out any interference they might cause. If the issue resolves, enable them one-by-one to pinpoint the offending extension.
    3. Ensure your Korean keyboard layout and Input Method Editor (IME) are correctly configured and up-to-date.
    4. Several users have reported this as a known bug. Research indicates Microsoft has not yet released a patch for this. Should the problem persist, submit a report via the appropriate browser feedback channel. In Edge, utilize the shortcut "Shift + Alt + I" to directly report the issue from the browser.

    I hope this helps.
