Hi ,

GENERAL INFO

Running Windows 11 Home on Laptop HP Pavilion

Printing to Epson ET-3850

Using Google Chrome Version 131.0.6778.86 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Wireless Setup

ISSSUE

When I print to Epson ET 3850 and select the printer from the dropdown and then click print , it closes all open tabs in Google Chrome and does not print anything. this used to work about 8 months ago and I have tried numerous fixes found on website including

Removing Printer and reistalling software

Updating Driver

Running MS fix utility that does indicate issue found and fixing when run

All others in the office can print ok to the printer using Chrome with Windows 10 and 11.Contected wirelessly for all so I suspect it is something to do with my Laptop setup but this is only a assumption.

Would not have made any direct changes to my printer setup and I am up to date with all updates as far as I am aware.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community forum.

I understand that you are experiencing an unusual problem with Google Chrome crashing when printing to Epson ET-3850. May I know that this symptom is limited to you when using Chrome apps? Will the printing process work properly when using other applications, such as Edge, or Office, for printing tasks?

It is recommended that you first make sure that your Google Chrome browser is up to date. Try clearing Chrome cache and cookies, and reset browser Settings. In addition, the print process may be affected by a browser extension. Disable all extensions for Google Chrome and try printing again.

If the problem persists, use the Event Viewer to find any error messages related to Print service. Before viewing Logs, enable View > Show Analytic and Debug Logs.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards

    Jacen
