Go to the PC and sign in with your network administrator password. You will be able to access the Group Policy Editor.

If the PC is not connected to the network anymore, you can remove the group policy by following these steps:

    1. Log in to the PC with an account that has local administrator privileges.
    2. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
    3. Type "gpedit.msc" and press Enter to open the Local Group Policy Editor.
    4. In the left pane, navigate to the policy you want to remove.
    5. Right-click on the policy and select "Delete".
    6. Confirm that you want to delete the policy.

Note that this will only remove the policy from the local PC. If the PC is connected to a domain, the policy may be reapplied the next time the PC is connected to the network.

Another way would be to open regedit and navigate to local machine/software/policy this is where most policy settings are stored, be careful though editing registry kes incorrectly might have un expected results

    Hi Mervat ibrahim,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

Even if the computer is not connected to a domain, you can still use the Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) to check and change the policy settings for the local computer. Note, however, that this will not remove any policies from Active Directory, but will only affect that computer.

It is not possible to remove a group policy from a domain while off-network because group policies are typically pushed from Active Directory's domain controllers over the network.

    Best regards

    Neuvi Jiang
