    Hello Dais15

I'm sorry, but I cannot verify the legitimacy of a phone number. However, Microsoft will not send unsolicited e-mail or make unsolicited phone calls to request personal or financial information or provide technical support to repair your computer. If you do not ask us to do so, we will not call you for support.

If you didn't apply for Microsoft support, then this could be a scam. You should be very careful to avoid giving any personal information to the caller.

Please refer to this article to protect yourself from technical support scams: Protect yourself from tech support scams - Microsoft Support [3f0a-9651-7a9-63f4]

I entered Microsoft support off my pc and it opened Microsoft in my browser. I needed help with a corrupt file, and he had remote access to my pc. He asked for my number in case the chat window gets disconnected which it did. His name was Azeez O. Foreign accent, sounded African. He did not ask for any personal information or accounts other than my phone number.

I've searched it before, and others have said the number reached out to them or the person on the line was a little suspicious. I didn't let him finish doing what I needed because it felt risky and suspicious. So I closed everything instantly and shut my pc down. He was on the line with me still and kept pushing me to open my email and confirm that we finished a session etc. I didn't receive a single email nor did I confirm. I just hung up. I changed all my accounts passwords just to stay safe.
