Right click on the Word icon on the taskbar of the Windows desktop, but there is no recent history. But other software in Office and other software in Windows are also available.

    Hi,

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue where the Word icon on your taskbar isn't showing recent documents, while other applications are working fine. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:

    First please Check Windows Settings:

    1. Open the Settings app (gear icon on your Start Menu).
    2. Go to Personalization > Start.
    3. Ensure "Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start and Taskbar" is turned on.

    Then Clear Automatic Destinations Folder:

    1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
    2. Type %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations and press Enter.
    3. Delete all files in this folder. This will clear the recent items for all applications, and they will be re-added as you use them.

Just checking in to see if the information was helpful. Please let us know if you would like further assistance.
