Hello. I am having MAJOR issues with my bluetooth audio stuttering in Windows 11 with my Sennheiser Momentum 4's.

Firstly, I'd like to start that this only started happening after I updated to Windows 11. I was using Windows 10 beforehand but decided to update it due to the EOS in October. Furthermore, this was a clean install of Windows 11, meaning I reset my PC first- that wouldn't be an issue. I checked for system file corruption regardless but there was none. I was using them on Windows 10 for months prior without issue. My PC has 1TB of memory for the new OS to run on with 32GB of RAM, and a Ryzen 5 5600x CPU too.

I have removed and re-paired the headphones. In the Bluetooth services tab of my Momentum 4's properties I have turned of Hands-free Telephony and Remotely Controllable Device. I went ahead and moved the port that the bluetooth adapter was plugged into- twice.

I have checked for driver updates for both the bluetooth adapter and headphones. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled all drivers, including for my bluetooth adapter. I was recommended to turn off Bluetooth Audio Gateway Support in the Services settings, and that still didn't work.

I am on a PC ran with an ethernet cable and no motherboard Wi-Fi capability or adapter, so no Wi-Fi interference could be happening. I have also checked every other device I use with bluetooth and even gone as far as turning it off on those other devices. I sit within one meter of the bluetooth adapter.

I restarted my PC when making any and all of these changes, and none of them have worked.

The audio stuttering is extremely irritating as it happens multiple times a minute, whether I'm watching a video, on a call or listening to music etc. I am left totally unsure what to try after all of this, so I have decided to ask here. If anyone is able to give advice to try and help fix my problem I would be extremely appreciative. Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Based on my understanding of this problem, I suggest you refer to the following steps to see if you can solve the problem:

1.Turn off the Battery saver mode: Click on the Battery icon from the taskbar and check if Energy Saver Mode is enabled. If so, turn it off so won't interfere with Bluetooth connectivity.

2.Disable the energy saving feature in Device Manager: In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth, right-click your Bluetooth device, and select the Power Management tab, uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

3.Restart the Bluetooth service: Select Windows key + R and type services.msc and then click Ok.  Scroll down to Bluetooth Support Service, right-click, and select Restart.

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best regards

    Zunhui

I had this problem and solved it by attaching the attenae that came with the motherboard.
