Can we sign an Data Processing Agreement with Azure regarding Azure OpenAI service or in general? We have signed such an agreement between our organisation and OpenAi and we would like to know if there is such an agreement to sign with Azure as well.

    Hi @Eli Alam,

Microsoft provides a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) as part of the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum, which governs data processing for Azure services, including Azure OpenAI. This is automatically included in your agreement when subscribing to Azure.

Regarding data privacy, any data submitted to Azure OpenAI remains within Microsoft Azure and is not shared with OpenAI. Microsoft has sole control over data governance and prompts or completions are not used to train any Microsoft models.

You can refer to: Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum (DPA).

To learn more about what data the Azure OpenAI Service processes and how it processes that data, see Data, privacy, and security for Azure OpenAI Service.

I hope you understand. And, if you have any further query do let us know.
