We decided to design a website with the designer team and applied for Microsoft Founders Hub. Our application was accepted, but then there was a bit of a disconnect between us and the team. During this process, the team did not update the Azure website that they had exceeded the 1 GB limit and a bill of $1000 was issued. I cannot pay this. I wonder if we inform the authorities that we have a Microsoft Founders Hub account and the account will be activated again?

    Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

You should contact Microsoft Founders Hub support and Azure Billing Support as soon as possible. Explain the following:

You are a Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub member.

You forgot to link your Azure subscription to the Startups sponsorship.

The Azure bill of $1000 was unintended, caused by oversight and communication gaps in your team.

You request billing relief and activation of your Azure sponsorship retroactively.

    Contact Link: https://startups.microsoft.com/en-us/contact/

    Azure Billing Support: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/options/

    1. Microsoft is generally understanding toward startups under the Founders Hub.
    2. If the mistake is genuine, billing credits may be issued or one-time waivers granted.
    3. Make sure future Azure usage is monitored with budgets and alerts to avoid similar issues.
