In MS Learn module 'Describe how to build applications with Microsoft Power Apps' the exercises steps and screenshot do not represent the latest Power App layout.

I managed to replicate the 'Exercise: Build a canvas app' with a lot of trial and error on my part, but I can't find a way to replicate the steps for 'Create a blank model-driven app'. None of the options presented in the step by step are available. I tried using Copilot to create 'Blank app based on Dataverse' but it didn't get the same result either.

Can you provide up-to-date instructions?

    Hello Morgane Le Coadic,

Thank you for reaching out on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

You're right—the Power Apps interface has changed, and some steps in the MS Learn module might be outdated. Microsoft updates features frequently, so the content should be updated soon.

In the meantime, you can create a blank model-driven app by selecting CreateStart with data, choosing Existing tables, and selecting the Account table in Dataverse. From there, you can customize your app in the App Designer, then Save, Publish, and Share.

If you are still facing any issue, please let us know in the comments and where you are encountering this error along with the screenshot for reference. We are glad to help you.

Please don’t forget to Accept Answer and Yes for "was this answer helpful" wherever the information provided helps you, this can be beneficial to other community members.

    Thank you.
