    Hello AIS
Azure VPN Gateway doesn't support changing the public IP address after creation. and there is no direct way to change the IP assignment to static for a VPN gateway.

However Basic SKU public IP addresses are announced to retire September 30, 2025, we're no longer permitting new gateways to be created using Basic SKU public IP addresses. It is recommended that you upgrade to higher SKUs.

We're taking action to ensure the continued operation of deployed VPN gateways that use Basic SKU public IP addresses until the retirement of Basic IP in September 2025. Before this retirement, we'll provide customers with a migration path from Basic to Standard IP.
