AD Sync or Entra Provisioning Agent won't start

I have 2 Domain controllers and an on-prem Active Directory. I've also got Entra AD setup and it was previously sync'ing with AD locally via Entra Provisioning Agent and at one time, ADSync. Everything was working perfectly fine until sometime a few weeks ago I got a notification that it was in quarantine. I didn't have time to look into it, but when I finally did, I noticed the Entra Provisioning Agent wasn't even running. I first tried restarting the server and hoping it would just restart normally but that wasn't the case. Instead, the service just won't start at all now, even when I try to manually start it, just giving the error " Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start".

Long story short, I tried a bunch of things but nothing worked. I finally resorted to just uninstalling and reinstalling the Entra Provisioning Agent but even that doesn't fix it. I'll get to the install step of Agent configuration and I get "We encountered an unexpected error when registering the agent. Please try again."

I've tried changing the service account login to an Entra Domain admin account and starting the service, but no change. I've removed the service completely and even removed it from the registry before reinstalling but still no change. I can't tell what triggered this issue, nor can I seem to fix it. So at this time, I'm stuck with no SSPR and no connection between my local AD and Entra.
