We would like to move to the cloud, ideally azure and use power bi...
We have a lot of ssis packages at present and possibily need to convert to cloud...
I have to give a presentation about microsoft azure (synapse, ADF, etc.) vs snowflake
Question:
My personal preference is to use portal.azure.com and the functionalities in it rather than snowflake
Can you please give suggestions why microsoft azure could be better than snowflake?

Data Warehouse platforms are usually long-term decisions, and comparisons of features, or even pricing, are often not meaningful over the longer term. In software, and especially in the cloud, competitors constantly evolve towards matching features and pricing.
The long-term advantages of Synapse are
1) Its tight integration with the rest of Azure.
2) The strength of the SQL Server ecosystem, with shared engineering, and the huge SQL Server technical community.
3) Embrace of the Spark open-source ecosystem.
They are both good platforms, and you can be successful with either one, but focus on what's best for your people.

Thanks for the ask and using the forum .
Azure does offer lot of other services( as you mentioned like ADF, Power BI , synapse , SQl etc ) under the same hood . All these services are connected with the Azure AD which is a big plus when you have many services talking to each other , as far as I know snow flake does not offer that . Moreover you did mentioned that you have a lot SSIS packages , i could like you to know that you use the existing SSIS using ADF in azure . Please read about the same here .
