I m trying to install RHEL 9.5 version in SCOM 2022 however it fails saying openssl doesnt support.
This system's OpenSSL version: 3.2.2
Supported versions: 1.0., 1.1., 3.0.*
can someone help me with the procedure to install.

there is a good chance you are not yet on the latest version of the agent.
You need that 1.9.1 mentioned here in the SCX section: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/scom/release-build-versions?view=sc-om-2022#scx-agent
That has the 3.x support in it.

@Bob Cornelissen I updated the package now its 1.9.0. Agent is installed but it shows greyed out. Pls suggest.

You would need 1.9.1 version of the agent, otherwise it would certainly not be able to cope with the OpenSSL version story. It is a combination.
When you have that version, you can look at what else it is complaining about regarding deploying it. Could be that you need to check if the RPM package was half-installed before and remove the old version from the Linux machine. And next run a fresh new discovery. And do not forget the sudoers file adjustments
@Bob Cornelissen Thanks for your comments. After the agent is available with 1.9.1, RHEL 9.6 with open SSL version 3.2.2 everything works fine.
Additionally could you pls help me if SCOM supports monitoring of Amazon Linux OS.
Well Sai, that is a completely different question.
Amazon Linux will not be on the list of supported.
You could try. It is based on a centos, but with adjustments coming from other distributions. You can try to make a connection and see what happens with the rpm package. But there is a chance it will refuse it. I can not test it right now either.
