No dial pad option calls in Teams - unable to make phone call

I would like to make phone call by Teams, but there is no option calls, where I could dial desired number, on the left side!?

To use Teams Phone features, your users must have a Teams Phone Standard or E5 license. For more information about licensing, see Microsoft Teams add-on licensing.

In addition to licensing, the users must be "voice enabled."

To voice enable your users, you can use the Teams admin center or PowerShell.

In the Teams admin center, go to a Users > Manage users and select the user you want to edit. Under the Account tab > Assigned phone number, turn Enterprise Voice to On and select Save.

For PowerShell, use the Set-CsPhoneNumberAssignment cmdlet and set the -EnterpriseVoiceEnabled parameter to $true.

I second Fischlin Andreas' comment. Microsoft says I can make free calls in Teams just as in Skype, but when I open Skype and Microsoft transfers me to Teams, I cannot make phone calls. There is no call function, no dial pad.

I have the same problem with no explanation. After last upgrade there is still no dial pad.

They don't tell you the right answer, but you can go to calling.web.skype.com to find the keypad. I'm just going to switch to a different service that has customer service because this sucks. I have never liked Skype, they have always been unhelpful... let me rephrase, ABSENT and non responsive. They can give me back my 6 euros because I am DONE with them.

Microsoft intends to retire Skype. Microsoft claims that Teams free would be a replacement. However, if there is no Phone call pad shown in free Teams (you write above that this would be the case for free Teams), then the claim by Microsoft that free Teams would be a replacement for Skype cannot be correct. Please clarify.

@fischlin andreas: You are so right. I followed the same trail:
As a Skype user, I get, from MS, the message that I can do the same functionalities with Teams.
So I suffer, just a little bit but enough, to install Teams on my phone, but alas, apparently no possibility to make call to fix land lines (my mother) or cell phones.
So they make you run around based on false promisses.
MS also does not explain clearly, in this research, the differences between accounts.
That a bit a shame.
