I can not delete my UET tag

I've been trying to setup a Microsoft ads tracking with my shopify store.

It started to look ok with how i setup and inserted the pixel code <script>.

But I recently watched a video with how the tracking code needs to be installed into shopify.

So, I decide to try installing the UET tag again - firstly, I go to delete the first UET i setup....but I got an error:

This UET tag is associated with some conversion goal(s). These goals need to be associated with a different UET tag before this tag can be deleted. This UET tag is associated with some audience(s). These audiences need to be associated with a different UET tag before this tag can be deleted.

So, I then go to the goals and audiences to remove/delete them.

The Goals could only be REMOVED (and not deleted??) - 6 Audiences were able to be deleted except 2 others that were system generated.

I go back to try Delete the UET tag - but the error still shows up.

I have already removed all tracking scripts on my website - but it still shows Tag active in the Ads dashboard.

I have looked everywhere on the web - spoke with customer support multiple times looking for a solutions - but nada:(

What is going on here??:)

    Hello Vishal,

Thank you for using our Microsoft Advertising Community Forum!

I understand that you are unable to delete your UET Tag because it is still associated with some conversion goal(s) and audience(s). As you rightly mentioned, the delete option for conversion goals isn't there and you have a "remove" option which can deactivate the goal so that Microsoft Advertising could stop counting conversions for that goal. That being said, we could also ask our higher-level experts to see if the no longer needed goals could be removed for you at the backend. For the time being, I hope the resources shared here will be of some use to you.

This article shows how to do a basic setup of UET tags using Shopify. Please refer to the Shopify Help Center for more information. Microsoft Advertising is not responsible for Shopify's processes or documentation, nor for changes made to Shopify's processes or documentation. By installing the Microsoft Advertising app for Shopify, UET tags are automatically created and added to every page of your website. Go to the Install an app page and follow the prompts to get your Microsoft Advertising app for Shopify set up. If you created and manage your website with Shopify, you can add and manage your UET tag there.

The status of a conversion goal can be either "Enabled" or "Removed". When a goal is removed, Microsoft Advertising stops counting conversions for that conversion goal. You can remove goals by hovering over their 'Status', and then selecting the dropdown arrow that appears next to the goals, and then select the option to have the goal "Removed". For more information please see:

How do I manage my conversion goals?

Once you create an audience and associate it with an ad group or campaign, you can then pause or delete the association. After you pause an association, you can enable it again later.

    1. From the collapsible menu on the left, select All campaigns > Audiences.
    2. Select the checkbox next to an audience.
    3. In the blue bar, select Edit and then select either EnablePause, or Delete.

You can delete unused UET tags that aren't associated with conversion goals, audiences or shared with other accounts. Once a UET tag is deleted, it will no longer show in the grid. Don't know what UET is? See What is UET and how can it help me?

    1. From the top menu, select ToolsUET tag.
    2. Select the checkbox next to the UET tag(s) you want to delete.
    3. Select Delete.
    4. Select OKwhen prompted with Are you sure you want to delete the selected tag(s)?
