How do I add users to my Ads account?

Hello,

I just opened a new account and need to add my marketing person to it so he can start writing ads. I would rather not pass my MS Account credentials to this person. Is there a way to add them so they'd have access to the account using their own log in credentials? Thanks.

    Hi Mon Nasser,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Advertising Community Forum! My name is Lou and I will be assisting you with this query.

I understand you would like another person to help you with your campaign ads but using their own credentials.  There are 2 options:

              1. Add him/her as a user to your own account

              2. If you want an agency to manage your account, we recommend that you set up a formal relationship with your agency in Microsoft Advertising, rather than creating a new user.

    1. ADD A USER

If you are Super Admin, you can add new users to your account and assign them different roles and permissions.

First, you need to have the email address of the person you want to add as a user.  Please note that the email address you enter to invite a new user is just for sending the invitation.  The new user can sign in to Microsoft Advertising using a different email address.

    Here are the simple steps:

    -      Using the new Microsoft Advertising navigation, from the navigation menu on the left, hover over Settings and select User management.

    -      Select Invite user from the User Management page.

    -      Enter information about the new user and their account role.

    -      Select Send.

    -      You may also forward this link to guide them on how to accept the user invite:

Regarding user role, you may refer to this view user role link or to this screenshot below to guide you what role you will assign:

If he/she is from an agency with their own agency account, you may also forward this link on how they can start the process:  Managing your clients as an agency

In conclusion, if an agency will be managing your campaigns, it is best to do account linking.  This way, you can have your own access to your own account especially billing details.  Unlinking of accounts will also be easy in case needed in the future. Adding users, on the other hand, is highly applicable if you want other employees within your organization/company to also have access to the account and assign specific roles.

I hope you find the above response and resources helpful!

If you have any clarifications/questions, please do not hesitate to reply or reach out to our support.

May I ask if the issue is that when you Invite a User to a Microsoft Ads account, Microsoft requires the user to create a personal account. Can't use a work account. Waiting for your additional information about it. Thanks
