Split from this thread.

The Thread you are sending people to is from 2023. We do exactly what is asked to block ads from being served and the same sites still are showing under Audience. Bad enough were we blocked 30,000 sites and can not add anymore, you don't allow more. Microsoft and wasting our money and you need to allow us to shut that off again. We have submitted forms and still no help. I need someone to help us. We have been a long time customer and truly see the waste that is happening.

    Hello Gerard,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Advertising Community Forum! My name is Marvin, and I will be assisting you with this query.

I understand that you want to opt out of our Audience Network. However, as mentioned in a previous post, the integration between the Microsoft Search Network and the Microsoft Audience Network is now standard practice and a key feature of Microsoft Advertising. For more details, please visit What is the Microsoft Advertising Network? and What are audience campaigns?

With Microsoft Advertising, you can utilize both the Microsoft Search Network and the Microsoft Audience Network. Combined, these networks reach over a billion people, providing a strong ROI through AI and rich first-party data. We’re now making it even easier for you to connect with your best customers wherever they are and engage them at the moments that matter. This is a study conducted by Microsoft Advertising and summarized through this blog post, Maximizing the power of search intent with Microsoft Advertising.

The only way to minimize the delivery of your search ads to our Audience Network is by adjusting your ad delivery settings and adding websites where your search ads appeared as Audience ads to the website exclusion list. This can be done under both campaign settings and at the account level. This process remains largely unchanged from what was posted in the thread updated in 2023.

Despite this, I still want to assist you with this issue. I’ve sent you a private message so we can discuss it in more detail and explore other viable options to minimize the delivery of your ads in our Audience Network. Please feel free to reply if you need further assistance.

Additionally, our support teams are please to engage in more in-depth discussions about your account through phone, chat or email to offer review assistance, please see our support page to reach out!

    Kind regards,

The BIGGEST problem is we block sites and you still advertise on them. So all the work we are doing to block them does not work. Also it seems like we are maxed out at 30k sites we can block. This not only seems illegal but unethical. Your are forcing us to be on this network. Besides there is no conversion. The people who see this are looking at everything but what I am selling.

    Hello Gerard Cuozzo,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Advertising Community Forum! My name is Marvin, and I will be assisting you with this query.

I’ve sent private messages to both of your accounts on the Microsoft Advertising Community Forum, but I haven’t received a response yet. Could you please check your private message inboxes again?

In response to your query about adding more websites to your exclusion list, please note that you cannot add more websites if you’ve reached the maximum of 10,000 URLs per website exclusion list. Each manager account is allowed only three shared website lists. However, there is no limit to associating your three website exclusion lists with your sub-accounts. If you have new website URLs to exclude that are not duplicates on your account-level website exclusion list, you can add them under the campaign-level website exclusion list in your campaign settings. Each campaign-level website exclusion list can accommodate up to 2,500 URLs.

For more details about it, kindly click Share website exclusion lists across accounts.

There is also another way to lessen the visibility of your search ads to our Audience network by changing the ad distribution settings of all of your campaigns from the entire Microsoft Advertising Network to Microsoft sites and select traffic.

You can change it by selecting all of your Ad groups, when the Edit prompt command showed, select other changes and you will be redirected to ad distribution settings. Then choose Microsoft sites and select traffic, then hit save. After a couple of hours, your new distribution settings will be implemented. See images below for reference:

For more details you can check Ad distribution settings and How to prevent your ads from showing to certain people.

I trust that the details shared here will partially address your inquiry. Should you have any further questions, feel free to contact our support.

    Kind regards,
