Initial setup and onboarding steps for new advertisers using Microsoft Advertising

Signing up to Microsoft Advertising is free. You will need either an existing email address or you can create a new email address (a Microsoft account) here Microsoft Advertising sign up. Fill in the requested information such as legal business name, phone number and business location, as an example. Make sure to review the Microsoft Advertising Terms and Conditions. If you agree to the terms and conditions, you can click 'Submit and go live'. Once you have gone live, the account is up and running. You can then move to the next step and set up your campaign either by importing existing Google Ads or by creating new campaigns and ads.
I have included the step-by-step guide down below.
Step-by-step guide: If you don't have an email address:
- Go to the Microsoft Advertising sign up page and select Sign up now.
- In the following window, next to No account?, select Create one!
- Select Get a new email address.
- Enter an address to create an Outlook account and then select Next. (If the address is already taken, you'll need to choose a different name and try again.)
- Create a password and then select Next.
- Enter your First name and Last name, and then select Next.
- An email confirmation will be sent to you with a code. Copy and paste the code in the platform. Select Next.
- You will see a security check with a capture. Select Next.
- Stay signed in.
- You may have another verification request. After completing the request, select Next.
- You will have another request to use Microsoft Authenticator App. Complete that step for additional account security.
- Choose your advertising goal.
- Provide your business name and business website and select Next.
- Choose where you want to advertise and select Next.
- Set up your keyword themes and select Next.
- Create your ad and select Next.
- Provide your business phone number and select Next.
- Enter your budget and select Next.
- Provide your Legal business name, Phone number, Business location, Preferred time zone, and select Next.
- Enter your Promotional offer (optional), select your Billing country/region, then choose a payment setting and payment method.
- Review the Microsoft Advertising Terms and Conditions and select the box if you agree to the terms.
- Select Submit and go live.
- After you’ve created your Microsoft Advertising account, you can set up your campaign by importing from Google Ads or by creating a new campaign.
Step-by-step guide: If you do have an email address:

All you need is an existing email address or you can create a new email address (a Microsoft account), along with a few details about your business to get your account up and running. Use an existing email address to create an account
- Go to the Microsoft Advertising sign-up page and enter an existing email address (work, school, or personal email address from a service such as Outlook, Gmail, or Yahoo).
- If you have an email address you already use to sign in to Microsoft products (like Skype or Xbox LIVE), all you need to do is sign in and the transition will be complete. If you've never used this email to sign in to a Microsoft product, you'll be able to sign up for a new account.
- Otherwise, select Create one! next to No account?, and then select Next.
- In the following window, confirm that you want to create a new account and then select Next.
- Create a password and select Next.
- Enter your First name and Last name, and then select Next.
- An email confirmation will be sent to you with a code. Copy and paste the code in the platform. Select Next.
