Configuring store settings and product listings within Microsoft Merchant Center
Hi Alex,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Advertising Community Forum! My name is Jefferson, and I will be assisting you with this query.
I understand that this issue may affect your business, as you are currently unable to create a store due to an editorial violation. Once you create a store, it will either be auto-approved, auto-rejected, or queued for a manual review. These are the things to keep in mind when creating a store:
- Your store name is required and cannot be changed later. It will appear in your product ads, so accuracy is important.
- Your destination URL must have been verified using Bing Webmaster Tools or a UET tag. It must also comply with URL formatting rules such as starting with a protocol (http:// or https://).
- If you want to use the content API for creating and sending feeds, you will need to get a tenant URL. Learn more
- If you validate your domain using a UET tag, the tag must register at least 50 events before the domain appears as an option when you create a Microsoft Merchant Center store.
- Stores created by a Manager account will be visible under all of its associated accounts.
- Currently we do not allow duplicate named or owned stores to be active simultaneously (i.e., if a store's URL is already being used by another store).
- A store will be denied if there's already a store registered for the domain name, or if there's an existing store registered within the account. We do not allow duplicate named or owned stores to be active simultaneously.
Since your store was rejected, you may check these potential store rejections:
- Attempting to claim an unverified domain.
- Microsoft Advertising customer has been identified as an adult advertiser.
- Lack of presence in the markets supported for product ads by Microsoft Advertising.
- Lack of a “real” privacy policy on website.
- Non-encrypted (non-SSL) checkout. You will want to verify that your SSL certificates are valid.
- There's already a store registered for the domain name, or there is an existing store registered with the account ID. If you have access to the Microsoft Advertising account in which the URL is already being used, you can deactivate the duplicate store.
