Additional features, tools, or issues not covered by specific Microsoft Advertising categories
Hi Apostolos1932,
Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Advertising forum. I hope you are well.
I am aware that you have been pausing your campaigns on more than one occasion, however the campaigns have been unexpectedly set live, which has accumulated unwanted spend on your account.
Typically, this specific query tends to be because a scheduled import is in place, and the status of the campaign has been chosen when updating exiting items, so each time an import is successful any previous actions will be overridden by the import itself.
In order to edit a scheduled import and to see what options have been selected, please follow the steps below:
- From the global menu at the top of the page, select Import > Import schedule & history.
- Under Logs, review the table.
- If the import resulted in any changes, the Summary column will show how many items were imported successfully and how many had errors and were unsuccessful. Select the ellipsis icon
, to review the details. - To download and review the error file, in the Action column, select Download error file.
Additionally, if you would like to know what can be imported from Google, the link HERE will detail all of the different options that are available and the differences or aspects that are not supported.
However, this may not be in line with an import as you may not have an import scheduled. Alternatively, there could be an automated rule setup, so that Microsoft Advertising can automatically alter your campaigns based on the criteria you define.
To enable, pause, or delete an existing rule:
- In the left panel, under Bulk Operations, click Automated rules (or from the main menu, click All campaigns and then from the page menu, click either Campaigns, Ad groups, Ads and extensions, or Keywords. Then click Automate).
- Select the checkbox next to the rules you want to change.
- Click Change status, and then click Enable, Pause, or Delete.
It may prove beneficial if we can continue this conversation via private message, so that I can accurately determine the reasoning behind your campaigns reactivating and resolve the matter promptly.
Please reply to my message with the specific account details, so I can investigate further.
Thank you,
