How do I delete ad accounts and campaigns?

I have had tremendous problems setting up an ad through Microsoft. I tried to set up four different accounts but they all failed. Their technicians took three weeks to try to solve the problem, and I'm still having problems. I just want to delete all of my accounts and ads. But I am even having trouble doing that. Can anyone help? I feel like I'm in the Matrix and can't get out. -Dr. David Demers, Phoenix DrDavidDemers.com

Deactivating an account makes it "inactive." While inactive accounts can be reactivated by Support, you should only deactivate an account if you have no plans to use it in the future. If you anticipate using your Microsoft Advertising account again, you should simply pause your campaigns, which will stop your ads from running and charges from accumulating.

If you decide to delete an account, you'll need to first pause your campaign and pay any pending charges.

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft Advertising account. (Please note that you'll only be able to deactivate your account through the web app and not through the mobile or desktop app).
    2. From the collapsible menu on the left, select Campaigns.
    3. Select the checkbox next to the campaigns you wish to pause.
    4. On the blue bar, select Edit > Pause.
    5. From the top menu, select Tools > Billing & Payments > Billing summary.
    6. Select Make a payment and pay the balance.
    7. From the top menu, select Tools > Accounts > Accounts summary.
    8. Select the Management tab and then select the checkbox next to the account that you wish to delete.
    9. On the blue bar, select Deactivate > Proceed.

Note: Your account and its associated customer data will be deleted 180 days after deactivation. Please contact Support to request to expedite the process or with any further questions.
