I'm using mine to share my wireless mouse and keyboard with my Surface Pro via Mouse Without Borders, thus avoiding as much as possible that goofy flat keyboard.
Since upgrading my Surface 2 Pro to Windows 10 Creators Update I have discovered Remote Desktop Connection. What an improvement over Mouse Without Borders! And I think the Surface RT is actually handling my hardware better than the W10--less flicker on my second monitor, even with a MWDA, fewer hangs and more consistent response (! how can that be possible?) with my wireless mouse and keyboard--so essentially my Surface 2 Pro is now working like a Desktop tower and my RT as a smart controller for my peripherals. I'm not sure if this option has always existed and I had just been overlooking it or if the W10 CU has made it more usable. I vaguely remember having been unsuccessful with it for some reason before.
