F1 and F2 Key not working for brightness

Thank you for your response. By the way, can you try to check if the Function key is enabled or the key is lit up. A light appears on the Fn keys when the keys are locked into function mode and the backlight setting does not work. You will need to press the Fn key again to unlock them and make sure that the light doesn't appear to make sure that it is disabled. Then, try to press again the F1 and F2 keys if it will now adjust the brightness.

Just to clarify, are you referring to the physical keyboard to adjust the light brightness? If yes, by the default (Fn key toggle off) Press F1 or F2 keys to adjust brightness.

Yes I am referring to the physical keys. When I press the both the F1 or F2 keys nothing happens to the brightness. I was hoping there was something I could try to get them working again as my computer is quite new.

I ran the surface diagnostic toolkit and the keys are now working for the brightness. Thanks for your assistance.

The Fn key was not locked so i tried locking and unlocking it but that did not change anything.
