I like to completely shutdown my Surface Pro 4

I've a Surface Pro 4.  I like to be able to shutdown the SP4 completely like a laptop with very minimal battery drain.  I don't use my SP 4 everyday,  I may not even use it once a week sometimes.  I just like to shutdown my SP4 like a regular laptop do.  A few times I had zero battery when I need it most.  I charged it to full last night and right now at 4:30 PM, it is on for no reason and battery is now at 92%.  Thanks

ps: I had been IT support for three decades.

    Hi.

    Look for some recommendations below:

Normal way to shut down: Go to Start > Power > Shut down or press and hold the power button until the Slide to shut down your PC screen appears (about 4 seconds), and then slide down.

Force shut down: Press and hold the power button for a full 10 seconds, until the screen turns off, then release the power button. Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on. You should see the Surface logo.

    Have a great time

    Hi.

    Search for cmd.

Choose Command Prompt from the search results.

In the Command prompt window that came up on your desktop, type in “powercfg /batteryreport” and hit Enter.

It will generate a report file and tell you where it is located. Usually it will be placed in the c:\users<username> folder and it will be named battery-report.html.

    Hope it helps
