Hi All,

We are deploying Windows 10 Version 1607 (Anniversary Update, Build 14393) to Surface Pro (Model 1796) using SCCM.

However the driver packages available are for Windows 10 Builds 15063 and 16299. The latest LTSB available is Windows 10 version 1607.

Where do we find the drivers for Surface Pro (Model 1796) running Windows 10 Version 1607 (Anniversary Update, Build 14393) ???

My contact asked that you take a look at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/surface-device-compatibility-with-windows-10-ltsc and stated

    "

    • Surface Pro (Model 1796) supports Windows 10 Version 1703 (the Creators Update, Build 15063) and above.
    • Windows 10 Version 1607 (the Anniversary Update, Build 14393) and earlier versions of Windows are not supported.
    • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB Version 2016 (Version 1607, Build 14393) and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB Version 2015 (Version 1507, Build 10240), are not supported on Surface Pro (Model 1796). "

This is the workaround which worked for us, as of now.

    - We have moved the new Surface Pro's (Model 1796) to "Surface Pro 4 device collection" and it installs all applications except drivers.

    - Then login as a local admin and tether to a mobile hotspot and run windows update. Picks up all the drivers.

*** Not the ideal way to do the imaging as this will create a big admin overhead as time moves on.

    Hi,

The download page where the drivers and firmware for the Surface Pro 2017 only provides the recommended update version. If you would like to get packages or updates for another Windows version or build, please refer to this page. You will find information about the updates and how to get them by visiting the link provided.

Let us know if you have other questions.

    Regards.
