Surface Pro 3 Wavy diagonal lines when inking

I've noticed a problem with my surface pro 3 that I have not been able to work around.  When I draw a slow diagonal line, it comes out very wavy and jagged.  If I quickly draw a diagonal, it seems ok.  Has anyone else seen this, is there a fix for it?  seems to happen in every application, so it strikes me as potential hardware.

I'm getting this in my new $3000 surface book 2. Sucks. I bought it primarily for OneNote and tablet experience. Feel like I have the shakes when writing---small, random jags/jitters. Guess I'll be returning it since this has been an issue for years---means Microsoft can't or won't fix it.

Wow... How many people have to post about this for them to admit there is a SERIOUS issue here. The pen is almost unusable for taking notes in any science class there diagrams need to be drawn... Let alone trying to do art... This is absurd, and they know it is a **** ntrig hardware issue that they can't actually solve without recalling and rebuilding them. I have been to 3 different microsoft stores and tried 20+ surface pro 3s. They ALL have this issue. The only reason a smooth line can be achieved is when you draw fast enough that it can skip the extremely course hardware detection grid. They really skimped on this.

This is a SERIOUS issues that Microsoft must fix, whether in conjunction with N-Trig or not.

I am not one to complain about these types of things, especially on such an otherwise great device.  However:

    • I purchased this device mainly for graphic design/sketching with programs like Adobe Illustrator, Corel Painter, etc.
    • I noticed that whenever I try to draw a diagonal line slowly in ANY program (Illustrator, Painter, Manga Studio, even Microsoft OneNote), it begins to squiggle.  It is impossible to slowly draw a straight diagonal line.
    • In particular, I noticed this issue came to be AFTER updating the tablet with all of the Windows updates.  I am considering reverting the updates to see if by any chance that fixes the issue.
    • I tried changing all batteries in the pen, repairing the device, recalibrating the pen with the touch input settings/etc., NOTHING is working.

How can they let this happen?  The pen works great otherwise, but this is a CRIPPLING issue for people wanting to do serious art on this device.  I am sure that Microsoft intended for this device to be a companion for many digital artists.

Please, Microsoft: ACKNOWLEDGE AND FIX THIS ISSUE IMMEDIATELY

Tried with new batteries.  Same wavy lines.

Do you know if there is any official word on this problem?  I've heard that microsoft knows about it and is working on it, but I see no news or anything.

No unfortunately it's still doing the same thing.  From what I've been reading elsewhere, this is common with n-trig, I'm hoping microsoft has the resources to fix this, but I haven't seen a patch that fixed it yet.
