I don't understand how to create/use custom tools for the surface dial. Is there a tutorial?

    Dear Stanman98075

Follow the directions given in the box to pair with your device.

Thereafter, you can go to Start Menu > Settings (the cog) > Devices > Wheel.

You can select an app and program specific commands to certain gestures (eg press + hold, turn left/right, etc.)

Some users are reporting their use cases on the Surface reddit.

    The latter.

I've recently received the dial and am trying to learn its capabilities. I can select an installed app, but don't know what to do with it.

There must be information or tutorials but I haven't been able to locate anything.

    Thanks!

    Stan

    Dear Stanman98075

I'd like to clarify what you meant by "custom tools."

Are you developing an app for the Microisoft Store and would like to know how to integrate the Surface Dial into it? Or are you trying to create custom commands for the Surface DIal to use in a specific app?
