How to choose a laptop case that fits?

Hey guys, 

This may seem like a stupid post, but I'm getting a little mixed up with the size of my surface book and am unsure what size laptop case I need to buy. In the specs, the surface book is listed as a 13.5 in laptop. I measured the laptop myself the other day for confirmation and saw that the surface book was actually about 15 in. This is making me very nervous about ordering a laptop case online (something that will have to be done online as it is impossible to find cases to fit the surface book) and I have noticed that Microsoft doesn't really offer much for the book either (sigh). Perhaps I am measuring this wrong?

Help would be very much appreciated.

    Most manufacturers anticipate their being a bezel when they say what size laptop it's for (so they account for 13.5-15 inches or so of laptop when they say it fits a 13" device) so you should be fine looking at cases designed for 13-15" laptops. Just take into account that most laptops today have a 16:9 aspect ration on the screen where the Surface Book has 2:3, so you may needs something a little bigger to accommodate that or to find a case designed for that aspect ratio, since just saying something has a 13" screen is measured from opposite corners regardless of the dimensions of each side.
