Kindle app doesn't open to correct page

I've been using my Surface 3 as a Kindle reader and all worked fine up until the latest Windows 10 update. Now, every so often when I open the app to continue reading a book, it doesn't open to the page I left off on. After it did this a few times, I started writing down the page I left off on but that's getting annoying. I don't know if this is a Windows problem or Kindle app problem so I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone has a suggestion on how I can get the Kindle app to always open to the page I left off on.

2016-10-04T12:01:42+00:00 I don't know if it happens with all books since I only read one book at a time and I did send the developer an email about this problem. Hopefully someone will have an answer.
