My new SP4 has charger model # 1625 and I bought official back up chargers model 1706. Crazy cursor jumping issues

Just bought the SP4 and it has the charger 1625. I bought a back up and it is 1706 that Microsoft says is good to go with SP3, SP4 and Surface Book. My cursor becomes uncontrollable when I use this new charger (tried two different ones). When I swap it out with my OEM there is no issue at all. I noticed the 1625 output is 12V and the 1706 is 15V. There are also other subtle differences.

Any idea if I can get the actual OEM charger 1625 anywhere?

This does not happen in all locations so it tells me that the 1706 model has some grounding or interference issues (at least with the SP4). I originally that it was the SP4 but no doubt it is the official 1706 Microsoft charger

Thanks. I chatted with support for quite a while last night. They are sending me a free 1625. I just don't like the ones they are using now and having two do the same thing is not a coincidence. Doesn't happen in many areas but this 1706 charger appears to be more open to interference or have some grounding issue. It is 15v vs the 12v 1625 which may contribute.

The 1625 is the one that also ships with the Surface Pro *3*. There's a recall on the power cord part (not the brick) and no one has the 1625 in stock. The Microsoft Store page has it listed as voluntary recall but you CAN buy one http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Surface-Pro-3-Power-Supply/productID.300191700

If you have TWO 1706's that perform the same way in some locations, you might want to visit a Microsoft Retail Store (if you are in the USA and near one) and have them tested. Othewise return them.

You can buy the 1625 from the link above. Hopefully the ones they are NOW shipping don't have the issue that prompted the recall.

Return it for a replacement.  It sounds like it is defective.

    Ebay his this 1625 charger.
