Surface app only works for surface products but is only way to tune pen pressure in windows 10

Windows 10 ink has no way to tune pen pressure sensitivity

Surfaces use the windows store app Surface to do this.  This app only works for surface devices.

All windows 10 computers using windows 10 ink need to be able to tune pen pressure.  This functionality needs to be in the settings everyone can get to for windows ink so all devices get this capability.

The HP pen and HP tilt pen are made by microsoft and the surface pen also works with the HP computers but you cannot tune the pressure sensativity without the surface app.  Either make the surface app recognize all ntrig pens and function better add this pressure tuning into windows ink so all devices work.

If there is a way to tune pen pressure in non surfaced devices for windows ink 10 please let me know how.

Thanks much.

    Michael,

Microsoft does not officially support using the Surface pens on anything except

Surface devices. And there is also no official support for other NTrig based

    pens on Surface devices.

You mentioned "The HP pen and HP tilt pen are made by microsoft " - Microsoft

    does not make these pens.

You might want to use the Feedback Hub App to file a suggestion for Windows Ink

to include pen pressure settings for devices that support this so that it gets

in front of the proper team.

Ah ok. No worries. There is a youtube video of it on the link below. Whether it works or not I am not sure as I don't have a pen.

    HI mobyd33,

    Thanks for trying to help.

The information you found is where I was looking.  It's the normal windows 10 inking settings.

They do not include any way to change pen pressure sensitivity.

Microsoft put those settings into an app called surface that does what I want but that app only works for surfaces.  Microsoft made the pens for hp but has no way in the drivers for you to adjust pressure sensitivity and there is no way to use the surface app that does this for the surface pen which is pretty much the same pen both made by them.

This functionally needs to be put into the ink settings which you showed me but it is not there now.

If there is a way to adjust hp pen settings in windows 10 please tell me how.

    Hi,

I've not done it myself before, but it looks like HP might have a guide that might help you with this. Please try the link below and let us know if this doesn't help
