I ended up getting 2 different ones with the same squeak, took it back a 3rd time and have finally ended up with a non squeaky one, which as I'm sure you will appreciate is an amazing relief!!!! Take it back, and check the space bar on the replacement before you walk out of the store is my only advice. I hope you manage to sort it.
Squeaky spacebar
Hi I bought the Surface pro a couple of weeks ago and when I started using it noticed that the keyboard purchased at the same time had a squeak. I took it back to where I bought it from this weekend and they switched it without any hassle. I've started using it today and guess what....same squeak. It's worse when you tap in the middle of the key, but as you can imagine, it's slightly annoying in general, if you then look at how much I've spent on this product as a whole, it's more than slightly annoying. What can you suggest? I would take it back to the store, but chances are I might end up with the same problem again and it's a good way out of my way to get there.

I'm having the same problem with mine (2nd one now). It's mostly the right-side of the space-bar, but that's usually the side I'm using anyway.
I brought the first one back to the retail store I purchased it from and they almost didn't exchange it because I was beyond 15 days. Now I'm coming up on another 15 days and this one has started squeaking pretty bad. I love the keyboard but I can't keep doing this (nor should the retailer have to keep doing this).
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!
~harry

2017-12-13T13:28:10+00:00 I have exactly the same problem. Been using the keyboard for about three weeks now. It's damn annoying. Bought it from the German microsoft store. So it must be a construction failure from Microsoft
