Battery Saver Mode will not turn on anymore

About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that when on battery, after I hit 90%, battery saver mode no longer automatically turned on.

So then I clicked the battery/power button in the task bar, and tried to turn it on manually right there.  Still nothing.

Then I opened Win10 battery panel to check those settings.  All looks good, and screenshot here: http://i.imgur.com/GRfOi4C.png  - While on this screen, I clicked the "Battery saver on until next charge" button to turn it to ON.  However, battery saver mode still doesn't turn on (I can tell by clicking the taskbar icon again, and still see that it's off).  Then I closed the Win10 screen that I screenshotted, with the button still switched to "ON" at that point.  Then I'll open it again, and it's off =).  So, it never DID turn on, just the button was stuck whenever I try it.

I have a strong suspicion this is something to do with the surface pro 4 and drivers, but really do not know.  Looking for info for anyone who can help me here.

I am replying back with the fix for anyone else who experiences this to try.

I spent hours with microsoft support.  Eventually they recommended reinstalling windows.  We tried downloading every single surface update file one by one and updating firmware drivers too - but all of them said I already had a newer version.

Eventually, I went home and opened device manager, expanded the "firmware" section, and right clicked each of these one by one and selected "update driver," followed by "search automatically."  A couple of them updated, I restarted, and it works again.

Anyway, always worth a shot for me from here on out.  Marking as best answer.  Thanks.

I downloaded that and attempted to install.  The message I get upon opening is:

"A newer version of SurfacePro4 Update 17_032_01 (64 bit) is already installed."

    Any other ideas?
