Hi,
My back-light on the keyboard is flashing. Well in fact seems to be stepping up 3 levels in brightness and then repeating all the time. I have rebooted and still doing it.

I had this issue. I ran the diagnostic tool and found nothing, I rebooted and it was still happening. I was trying to find a way just to turn it off altogether because it was so annoying. I happened to press Function and F7 (because I wasn't sure what that button did). A box popped up and asked if I wanted to turn on caret browsing. I said no, but the flashing actually stopped! This was probably just a dumb fluke, but thought I'd mention it, in case it helps you or someone else!
Hey Michelle! I read your above comment, and did the same thing you did. Low and behold that worked! I had Chrome open and running at the time, and was within that window. Thanks again for your help!

Thanks Michelle! That light was driving me nuts. I should not have let my cat walk on the keyboard. I tried this and it worked.
Thank you!!! I had a user that had a nonstop keyboard blinking. I had her try your FN +F7 and it stopped. She didn't get the pop up box. It just stopped!
You are the real mvp. Worked for me too! I was wondering why my keyboard was having a rave. And I almost lost it cause my afternoon class turns the light off for slideshows, and I was about to succumb to pen and paper. Thank you!
