Windows 10 Pro 1703 (Atom)

I have this tablet that I use for eBooks but it keeps trying to install an OS upgrade; however, MS does not support ATOM processors.

How do I remove the "ready to install" update from this unit. I do get defender updates.et.al so I need update services

I have restored the WSUS server and cleaned up the Lenovo Atom tablet windows update (troubleshooter).

The upgrade to 1709 failed. Message was ATOM cloverleaf requires support drivers form Lenovo. Lenovo chose not to continue upgrading the tablet drivers.. so no Upgrade path.

I proceed tot he removal of the downloaded upgrade from the tablet

    Hi,

I have to clarify that MS does not support ATOM processors might be inaccurate. MS will be offering the Windows 10 Anniversary Update and security updates to Intel Atom devices until January of 2023. So if the update is ready to install, it might be a security update. You can install it.

But if it notifies you that “Intel Atom Processor is not supported by the new version”, or you just don’t want the upgrade, we can skip it.

Please download the troubleshooter, run it and follow the instructions to hide the upgrade.
