Surface Laptop Alcantara Cleaning

I've had my Surface Laptop for around two weeks now and I adore it. The only downside is that I've become a hypochondriac after reading the horror stories about the alcantara fabric. I'm paranoid of getting it dirty or ruining it - especially since due to my disability I get around either in a wheelchair or on the floor, so my hands pick up more dirt than most. I've already had to wipe the screen clean!

The alcantara seems to be doing fine at the moment - I am hand-sanitiser-ing constantly before every use. The logical side of my brain is saying that it can't pick up dirt THAT easily, otherwise there's no way it'd sell - but the rest of me is constantly on edge. I've got the Surface Laptop, so if the Alcantara gets too dirty it isn't as simple as just spending out £200 on a replacement keyboard.

The Microsoft site says about using warm water and a lint-free cloth, or a screen wipe to clean the surface of the keyboard. Ideally I'd like to keep any use of water around the keyboard to a minimum except for a last resort, but what type/brand of screen wipes would people recommend? Alternatively, what other methods of keeping the alcantara clean have people found?

As you know, Microsoft recommends warm water and a lint-free cloth. Personally, I have used a disinfectant wipe on about 16 Surfaces we have as a classroom set. It cleaned the fabric. If you went this route, i'd make sure to test a wipe in an inconspicuous location first, to make sure the fabric doesn't loose any color.

I've had my Surface Laptop for 6 months - I am an auditor in the pharmaceutical industry, and use my Surface for business. I love everything about this laptop - except the keyboard. I work in sterile environments, wash my hands constantly being washed as I am in and out of doctor's offices and hospitals all day... and yet my keyboard still looks absolutely disgusting. I have tried cleaning with a disinfectant wipe, a microfiber cloth and water, even ordered alcantara cleaning solution off of amazon - none of it works. It's gotten to the point that I think I have to give this laptop to my kids, and order an HP with a tradition keyboard... because this surface alcantara coating is just horrifying and embarrassing to pull out.
