Just purchased my Surface Pro;  I need to confirm I don't need to add an antivirus to it...like a normal laptop.

Hey there, my name is Michael and I am an independent Surface expert and customer, like you!

As with any Surface, it will come pre-loaded with Windows Defender, an anti-virus already included with Windows 10. You may purchase a third party anti-virus but that will be up to you to determine if Defender is adequate for what you do.

    Hope this helps.

    Michael

Windows Defender provides AV and you do not need to add a third party AV to

    protect you.

Use the Norton removal tool. Many others have found that Norton slows down the

system and creates other issues. Windows Defender provides all the protection

    you need.

    Great!

I've added Norton.  Should I simply do a uninstall or some other form of removal that completely remove it.
