What type of plastic is this part?

I noticed on my headphones, the part highlighted in the attached image, is cracked. I think it can be welded or bonded, but I need to know what type of plastic (ex: Polystyrene, ABS, Polypropylene, etc.) it's made of. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the response!

I believe it's Polypropylene. Before I reinforced that part where it was cracked, I scuffed and clean it with Acetone. From my

understanding ABS reacts to Acetone, which I didn't see any signs of it doing so. I used 'JB Plastic Bonder' (tan color) and

I'm content with the results, I think this will hold up.Image

    Hello marckassay,

Thanks for posting your concern here.

If the headband arc has been cracked, we wouldn't recommend to have it glued, instead kindly contact Microsoft Surface Support to seek options for your headphones or possible replacement. If you're located outside United States, see Global Support. Replacement cost applies to out of warranty device and for further service.

    Hope this helps.

I can tell you that "all" plastics do not survive a break and will not hold long term but you should be able to get some use out of it since the speakers still work.

In the future, make sure you grab the headphones by the 'cups' and not the band when putting them on and taking them off.  That is what causes that type of break.

I don't have those headphones, but usually, they are made of ABS plastic and you use superglue.
