Replace Surface Book Battery

Hello,

How do I get the Surface Book Battery replaced? Spent around 3k on this laptop 5 years back and I want to replace the battery and not throw it away. There are no Microsoft Stores around now.

    This is my issue also.

    I live in Canada and the city of Mississauga no longer has a Microsoft store. I have vital information on my Surface Book 2 and I do not want a replacement unit, via the out-of-warranty service option. I suspect the battery requires replacement... but for $720+ ?? (Apple charges $150 for replacement of a new battery for their laptops.)

    I have tried cleaning the charging port. I have tried charging it for 12+hrs. I have tried to hold the power button x 20s. I also tried power button + up-volume as well as SHIFT + CTRL + Windows key + B.

    I know I have left this laptop, on occasion, out in my car on a rly cold day. I have also, occasionally, not used it for greater than 30 days when I am home. Today, I wanted to switch to my new phone and backed up my old phone's data on the surface book 2 and powered down windows. When I came back from the store, I was unable to turn on the laptop!

    Help please! I need a new battery and I think $720+ (CDN) for one is an incredible lack of value for something I too paid $3000+ for.

    Battery replacement option is not available for the Surface Book (1). Instead, out-of-warranty replacement for the device is offered. Please see: How to get service for Surface (microsoft.com) and How much does out-of-warranty service cost for your Surface device or accessory? (microsoft.com) for more details. You may also contact our live support for further assistance. You may contact them through the numbers listed in Global Customer Service phone numbers (microsoft.com) under For Business users. This works with Home users also, just select Surface then Home as a type of user in the IVR prompt.
