Surface Headphones 2 [Major problems/requests]

Let me begin by saying that this product is almost perfect for me. This is how you could make it better for sure!

  1. Add an option to turn off ANC whatsoever. At the moment there's persistent white noise regardless if I'm playing music or not, but this becomes prevalent when my headphones just sit on my head. It's easy to say the problem with ANC, because as soon as I turn off the headphones this problem goes away instantly.
  2. Add an option to turn off "Auto-mute" feature. When I'm receiving a call by phone or any messaging app every other apps get muted. That is a great feature, but I'd like to use Discord and play games at the same time and right now if I get a call my game(s) get muted and there's no option to undo it.
  3. I'll say it again - figure out white noise problem. It makes me nauseous and gives me headache pretty quick.
  4. (Optional) Tap customization.

I also noticed, that my headphones won't switch from my PC to my phone when I'm getting a call or want to listen to music. This happens quite frequently and was a selling feature and right now I'm actually considering to return the product.

    i agree fully with the auto mute, its probably the most annoying feature. i go from one conf call to the next and all of a sudden i am muted... i wind up talking to myself for a min since i am the host 80% of the time. Now i am constantly pressing the mute button to see what the setting is. make it an option in the app settings please to turn off.

    I agree, when listening in quiet places, these would be perfect if I could just turn off Anc

    Another couple of suggestions:

    1. Save defaults per device. I make a lot of phone calls where I need to hear how loud I'm talking so I don't disturb people around me so I have pass-through sound for my phone but max ANC on my computer. There should be an easy way to set up a default ANC/Volume per device in the app.
    2. Make the Play/Pause and option to enable/disable when you take on/off your headphones

    Great requests - I'd like to add another two:

    • The headphones have a fantastic user experience with the "on-ear dials". But the volume increase oder decrease is jumping 6 or 7 %, which should be much more detailled steps like 2 or 3 %. So just a software optimization.
    • Talking about software: Please take a look at the software from Sony for their XM3 (or XM4). Thats how a software could boost the sound. Technically I think the hardware is almost identical, but once u turned on the feature "Clear Bass" for the XM3/XM4 you see what software could do.

    I really hope Microsoft have a look into these Requests. I really like the Headset an the Features. 

    Request: 

    Having 2 profiles for the Headset is very annoying. If I want to play a game the HEadset suddenly changes (probably) into the Hands free mode and there is no sound whatsoever. 

    Id would be great if we can use the Headset for gaming and chatting / talking as well.
