After 3 months of no-use, I charged my Surface Pro 4 for an hour and tried to turn on. It won't turn on.

I tried the following numbered bulleted items with no positive result...

  • with no accessories connected, Surface Keyboard connected and also disconnected)
  • with power cable connected (I see that the charging light is on)
  1. Keep the power button pressed for 20+ seconds and watch if screen turns on.
  2. Keep the power button pressed for 30+ seconds and watch if screen turns on.
  3. Keep the power button and Volume-Up button pressed together for 20+ seconds and watch if screen turns on.
  4. Keep the power button and Volume-Up button pressed together for 30+ seconds and watch if screen turns on.
  5. Press Win+Ctrl+Shift+B to turn on the Surface

May I please know what are my options here?

    Hello YoYoChuck.

Since your device is about 4 or more years old, I guess it is a problem of the battery system within it.

It is common problem for old rechargeable battery system devices.

You can change the battery by your own or ask local repair shop.

But instead of spending money for old devices, I think it is best to find some nice used Surface 5 or 6 in cheaper prices.

    I hope it will help.
