    Hi Ken,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

The right docking station for your Surface Laptop 5, we recommend you use Surface Dock, Surface Dock greatly expand your Surface device's capabilities. By connecting keyboards, mice, webcams, and external monitors, you can turn your Surface into a multifunctional workstation.

Surface Laptop 5 is compatible with Surface Thunderbolt™ 4 Dock, Surface Dock 2, and Surface Dock.

You can refer to this page to help you choose the one that suits you: Identify your Surface Dock and features - Microsoft Support

I hope this helps. If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely

I have a Surface Pro i7 operating with a system built around Dock. I brought a Surface laptop 5-15 an connected it to the Dock and I could not get my two screens to respond. I then brough a Thunderbolt Dock 4 and still could not get the system to respond. I now have gone back to the inital dock and developed a less than satisfactory work around.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks Jim Becker
