I appreciate you for clarifying. I understand that you’re a previous NOOK user and would like to recover your NOOK app installation.

Check Your Microsoft Account: First, ensure that you are signed in with the same Microsoft account that you used previously to download the NOOK app. Sometimes, apps are associated with your account, and you might be able to find your previous installations there.

Library: If you had previously downloaded NOOK books or content, check your NOOK library. You might find the app listed there, and you can reinstall it from your library.

Microsoft Store History: Go to the Microsoft Store, click on your profile picture (top right corner), and select My Library. Look for the NOOK app in your purchase history or installed apps.

If none of the above options work, consider reaching out to Barnes & Noble customer support. They might be able to assist you in recovering your previous installation.

I am looking to recover a NOOK app download on my new SURFACE Pro 8. Seems that B & N isn't offering new downloads. BUT I am a previous NOOK-person and am looking to recover that Install. Thanks, Fr R

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Support.

We appreciate you asking how to recover a nook download on your newly purchased Surface Pro.

    • Can you confirm if you're referring to the Nook reading app?

If yes, and you’re looking to recover a NOOK download on your newer Surface Pro, here are some steps you can follow:

    1. Check Your NOOK Library: First, ensure that you’re signed in to your NOOK account. Open the NOOK app or visit the NOOK website and check your library. Look for the book or content you want to recover.
    2. Re-Download from NOOK: If the content is missing, try re-downloading it. In the NOOK app, go to your library, find the book, and tap the download button. 3. On the NOOK website, log in, go to your library, and click the download link next to the book.
    3. Restart Your Surface Pro: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve issues. Turn off your Surface Pro, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
    4. Ensure that your Surface Pro is connected to the internet. A stable internet connection is necessary for downloading content.

If none of the above step's work, reach out to NOOK customer support. They can assist you further with account-specific troubleshooting.

Since the Nook app is a third-party application, we can only offer limited information and troubleshooting methods.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
