How to use surface as a wacom monitor?

Hello, I was wondering how hard it'd be to connect the surface to anther computer and use the surface as a kind of Wacom monitor. My desktop is a 100x more powerful then the surface but the surface has all those nice features that I need for drawing (I'm a graphic designer).

I'm just trying to connect it as a Wacom monitor, but can't seem to figure it out.

I know how to connect the surface to a second monitor, but I want to be able to take a advantage of the better hardware in my desktop. (the surface can barely handle Adobe, Blender, and not well at that)

So my question is how do I connect my surface to a desktop and use the surface as a Wacom monitor?

Thank you for your time in reading this!

    Hi KyroseBates,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

Just to make sure that I got the correct scenario here, you have a Desktop PC (no touchscreen feature) and you want to use the Surface Pro 4 as a second monitor so you could maybe use a pen and take advantage of the touchscreen feature of the Surface then draw on the Surface screen, correct?

Is your Desktop running on Windows 10 also?

If yes, I'm not sure this would work but this is the only way we could use the Surface as a second monitor. Try this then check/test if this works:

           1: Prepare your devices

Both devices must be running with the latest updates and connected to the same network

Your Desktop must support Miracast Protocol also

2: Configure the Surface Pro 4

Open Windows Settings > System > Projecting to this PC

Select Available anywhere and First time only

You may turn on the Required PIN option also if you need extra protection

Turn off the This PC can be discovered for projection only when plugged inoption

Take note of the Surface PC name

3: Project Desktop to Surface Pro 4

On your Desktop, open the Action center (rectangular icon next to Time & Date at the Taskbar)

Select Connect then wait as the Desktop will look for available devices

Select the PC name of the Surface once it appears (You will have to confirm Yes on the prompt that will pop up on the Surface)

Once it is connected, try to toggle the Allow input from a keyboard or mouse option

             4: Change projection

You may change projection between Duplicate or Extend by pressing Windows key + P on the Desktop
