    Hi Angelo,

Alen seems to provide you with some correct information, which is basically consistent with the information from Microsoft support:

But if you find that you still can't use the printer on your ARM device at the end of the day, this means that printer manufacturers still need to provide drivers for their products that are compatible with ARM systems.

I have a Ricoh SP C262SFNw and a Windows Surface Laptop 7 with ARM-based processor. Are you saying that the printer won't work because the manufacturer needs to create a compatible driver? Are there any alternative solutions that could work? This is frustrating because this is my 4 Surface in 5 or so years and the printer worked well with all of the prior laptops.

    Hello Colton,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I visited the Ricoh printer driver download address you shared here, and in the system version, I confirmed that Ricoh only offers drivers for Windows 11 (64-bit).

So in fact the root of the problem is pretty clear. The Surface Laptop 7 is powered by an ARM-based Snapdragon® X processor, but the driver you're trying to install is not compatible with this Surface.

Drivers for ARM devices are usually special and need to be developed separately by the manufacturer of the external device. For information about Windows ARM, it is recommended that you read the following links:

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Hi Angelo,

I see there is an install instruction to show how to enable Ricoh printer on Windows PC with ARM-based processor, could you check if it works?

Do you know of any alternative options that would support the wide print feature for this printer?
